Tanzania coronavirus: prez orders reopening of all schools on June 29

President John Pombe Magufuli has ordered that all schools across the country be reopened at the end of this month. He gave the directives during a speech at the dissolution of the 11th parliament yesterday. The order comes weeks after universities and other institutions of learning resumed teaching and learning activities with strict guidelines.

'The corona disease has been eliminated thanks to God' - Tanzania prez

In late May, it was the Regional Commissioner for Dar es Salaam, declaring that COVID-19 had been defeated in Tanzania. Weeks on, President John Magufuli has reaffirmed Paul Makonda’s claims. The president declared the country “coronavirus-free,” he credited the prayers of citizens for the triumph. “The corona disease has been eliminated thanks to God,” Mr Magufuli told worshippers in a church in the capital, Dodoma.

Tanzanian president's son recovers from COVID-19

The number of people infected with the coronavirus is reported to have dropped considerably in Tanzania. It’s a delightful news that Tanzanian President John Magufuli is hoping to announce this Sunday. Magufuli stated that one of his sons had contracted the coronavirus, but had now recovered. “As I speak here now, one of my own sons has just recovered from corona virus disease, and this is after they quarantined and used steam inhalation, took lemons and ginger”, he said.

'God will help us,' Tanzania president 'rejects' virus lockdown

Tanzania receives COVID-Organics, the Madagascar virus 'cure'

Barely a week since President Magufuli of Tanzania said the country was interested in COVID-Organics, the Malagasy preventive / curative, potion for coronavirus, a consignment was delivered on Friday according to reports. The donation comes days after the Republic of Congo and the Democratic Republic of Congo received their donations. Equatorial Guinea and Guinea-Bissau have also been served.
