Warm greetings to the YoComm site, and all who visit it.
I warmly commend you on another initiative to do what the Commonwealth does
best – to create networks, to share values, and to bring about real, practical
and positive exchange. I am delighted to see the energy and variety on the site:
it is as colourful to read as it is to look at.
We are a young Commonwealth: half of us are under 25. For a new generation, with
none of the ties of its predecessors, the 60-year old Commonwealth needs to remake
itself for a younger audience. We live in a time of unparalleled opportunity and
progress for young people – but so, too, in a time of unparalleled concern,
both for young people facing unemployment and marginalisation, and for the world
which they inhabit, reeling as it is from global crises of finance, fuel, food security
and climate change which are largely of its own making...
......... I send best wishes to all at YoComm.
Kamalesh Sharma,
Commonwealth Secretary-General

In my opinion women has always been an agent of change. to be so they do not have to be an activitist, a politician or for that matter to do something extraordinary.
Every mother, every house wife is an agent of change. If they are able to grow there children’s in a righteous way, if there able to keep the family unity together… there all “Agents of Change”. In the present world women forget that role, and the importance of it…. Because of that the are numerous problems in society we face today. Under age pregnancy levels, under age drinking, youth violence etc… have increased to extruding heights… especially in the UK it is more evident…

Although the women’s movement has already transformed the way in which we look at society in each of our countries, the search for equality is far from finished. History, culture and economics still remain weighted against women.
