Message from Chairman National Youth Council

On behalf of the entire youth fraternity in Uganda and that of the National Youth Council, I take this opportunity to welcome all the youth delegates to the 6th Commonwealth Youth Forum to be held in Entebbe, Uganda.

As you are already aware, the mission of Commonwealth Youth Forum is to enhance young people’s contribution to development and democracy and it aims at promoting the values and principles of the Commonwealth. As the youth of Uganda, we are glad to be hosting youth delegates from the Commonwealth nations who will freely deliberate on the various thematic areas and to make their contribution

in achieving the ideas of the Commonwealth. We encourage you to utilize the Forum to freely express your views without fear or favour. The Ugandan Youth look forward to sharing with you and learning from your achievements, best practice and innovation in the area of youth empowerment HIV/AIDS, conflict resolution and sustainable livelihood.

The organizing committee of the 6th Commonwealth Youth forum has proposed a number of activities to be conducted during the Forum. These will include: opening ceremonies to be opened by H.E the President of the Republic of Uganda, Cultural shows, site visits and tour, participation in other Commonwealth parallel events.

The National Youth Council will ensure that your stay in Uganda will be both memorable and fruitful.
